Hi, I am a toastmaster in Aberdeen, Scotland and am working my way through the Interpretive reading manual. I have been looking unsucessfully for a suitable relevent monodrama for some time. With your permission I would like to recite your excellent speech and would credit you in the introduction. Coming from the UK I come in contact with many scousers (liverpudlians ) and liked the little bits of scouse phrasing which added authenticity. My other comment would be to slow some parts of the speech down for added emphasis. Otherwise very enjoyable

PETER, I would be honoured for you to recite my speech. Would you be able to record it in either audio or video? I’d love to hear it or see it.

Also, visit my Facebook page. There is a photo of me, a scouser and of course, Scouse! I’m sure you can identify the person in the photo. When you do, also identify yourself there as well!

It was done so long ago, I'm not sure if I still have my notes. Just so you know, only Paul speaks, Yoko doesn't. Her voice is implied.

Let me see if I can find it. In the meantime, feel free to play it or reproduce it for your club. And please provide a credit.

Best done in a dimly lit room. Even under candlelight would be great.

Greg - I just happened to stumble across your ewbsite. Good stuff! I’m VPEd in St. Loius - Voices in Unity Question: 1. Where do you get the DVDs you’re referring to? I went to the TI site and all they had was “How to Write a Great Speech” “Effective Eval” and “How to Tell a Joke”.

Thanks for creating the Craig Valentine podcast and sending out the email pointing it out. I finally got around to listening to it and am glad that I did.

I really liked two of his points: · Don’t start the day by checking the news, your email, and phone messages

· Set out three things that are proactive for each day at the beginning of the day.

Up until today, I started my day by doing all three of the items listed in the first bullet and didn’t do the second bullet. That is changing as of now.

I’m giving you four stars for the toastcast (even though I’m listening to it in June well after the event being discussed) for two reasons: a) it was a great explanation of what a TLI is all about and now I know what to expect next time I see a TLI event posted - good use of interviewing techniques Greg, and b) I listen to quite a few poscasts - often from University lectures - and this one rated highly for being clear and easy to listen to. We will be doing some Toastmaster Quick tips in the future that will be no longer than 2 minutes that you may enjoy listening to. Also please take note for your information. According to Nielsen Media Research in a study released July 2006, the average Podcast is about 44 minutes. Some that I subscribe to are as long as 1 1/2 hours.
