Yes, Karen! Donna did an awesome job. It was all done in one take! Very little editing was necessary.

I was floored when I read the poem and even more wowed when I heard it!

Wow! That's a speech and a half. What a creative way to capture what happens to us as a result of working through our fears and the respective Toastmasters manual. Lovely cadence and vocal variety, Donna.

Another great podcast, Gregg! Enjoy your humor, BABY! Would like to hear them more often.

As for themes, not all themes suit everyone. I think they are very personal for the District and the District Governor.

Hi, I am a toastmaster in Aberdeen, Scotland and am working my way through the Interpretive reading manual. I have been looking unsucessfully for a suitable relevent monodrama for some time. With your permission I would like to recite your excellent speech and would credit you in the introduction. Coming from the UK I come in contact with many scousers (liverpudlians ) and liked the little bits of scouse phrasing which added authenticity. My other comment would be to slow some parts of the speech down for added emphasis.
Otherwise very enjoyable

PETER,
I would be honoured for you to recite my speech. Would you be able to record it in either audio or video? I'd love to hear it or see it.

Also, visit my Facebook page. There is a photo of me, a scouser and of course, Scouse! I'm sure you can identify the person in the photo. When you do, also identify yourself there as well!

Cheers!

<p>Hi Elaine,</p>
<p>It was done so long ago, I'm not sure if I still have my notes. Just so you know, only Paul speaks, Yoko doesn't. Her voice is implied.</p>
<p>Let me see if I can find it. In the meantime, feel free to play it or reproduce it for your club. And please provide a credit.</p>
<p>Best done in a dimly lit room. Even under candlelight would be great.</p>
<p>unbeknown me to, Paul actually did meet up and sort of make good with Yoko. <strong>Give Peace a Chance</strong>
</p>

Would love to do this presentation at my club. Do you have a script and would you be willing to share it? Of course I would provide this address and your name with the credit.
I would like to be Yoko.
Thank you for your consideration.

Hello, Greg.
I was impressed with the excitement and enthusiasm that you demonstrated in this podcast. You sounded very genuine. Too often, topics like this are presented as a run of the mill, boring, rundown of dates that stimulate zzzz's more often than not! Your conclusion was especially good: 'on behalf of myself and the other ## of......Toastmasters' was a good twist.

Good job, Greg!
It was good that you gave specific information about which DVD you used, which 2 speeches you chose, the specific ways that the Table Topics master used this resource in the table topics part of the meeting (to name just a few).

The Tm Convention DVDs are available at https://www.billspro.com/order/ts/index.html Note: If you attend the Conventions, you can purchase them at a significantly reduced cost.
Greg - I just happened to stumble across your ewbsite. Good stuff! I'm VPEd in St. Loius - Voices in Unity
Question:
1. Where do you get the DVDs you're referring to? I went to the TI site and all they had was "How to Write a Great Speech" "Effective Eval" and "How to Tell a Joke".

I'm just getting into the Interpretive Reading manual. Thanks for the demo. Good work!

Another very interesting and personable interview! I'm always amazed at the humility and approachability of these world class speakers, and I love the candor they speak with. I would agree with TMUSA, Greg, your relaxed and personable style brings out the best in the interview, and makes the listener feel like they could just pull up a chair and join right in!

Greg, I like your style of questioning. You seem to set up the speaker to respond in such a way that it's a learning experience for the listener. Rich did a good job too - of course he's been to the championship round. Keep up the good work! TMUSA

Very timely information! Celebrate each success -- good advice. It's nice to know that all aspects of club struggles are being considered. Toastmasters has lots of material to help clubs who are struggling. Nice nod to our District Statistician, Rhys Davies, and the importance of having a trained club executive.

Good job Greg. I just discovered, podcasts &#38; MP3 "on-demand" media recently. Do you know of any other Toastmasters locations world-wide that have turned to podcasting such as yours? Great idea as its another means of distributing TM related content to people. Perhaps yours is the first or near first.

I have placed a link on our Silver Springs homepage to your site.

Good luck with all your programs &#38; coverage.

Regards

Thanks for creating the Craig Valentine podcast and sending out the email pointing it out. I finally got around to listening to it and am glad that I did.

I really liked two of his points:
· Don’t start the day by checking the news, your email, and phone messages

· Set out three things that are proactive for each day at the beginning of the day.

Up until today, I started my day by doing all three of the items listed in the first bullet and didn’t do the second bullet. That is changing as of now.

Below the "Listen Now" buttons there is an option to download. Click on that option. When the big DOWNLOAD button shows up, right click and it should start to download.

Greg and Alice,

I'm giving you four stars for the toastcast (even though I'm listening to it in June well after the event being discussed) for two reasons: a) it was a great explanation of what a TLI is all about and now I know what to expect next time I see a TLI event posted - good use of interviewing techniques Greg, and b) I listen to quite a few poscasts - often from University lectures - and this one rated highly for being clear and easy to listen to. Well done both of you.

Doug, There is lots happening in Edmonton. Visit www.d42.org or go to Toastmasters.Org and look under "Find A Club". Call or e-mail ay club on the list. They's be happy to have you come down to visit as a guest at no cost or obligation. It's fun. I've been a Toastmaster for almost 5 years.

Great job Greg, I like the concept. Find the segments a bit too long...

{editors note: Lloyd. Thanks for your comment. We feel we need to take the time to say what we need to say. We will be doing some Toastmaster Quick tips in the future that will be no longer than 2 minutes that you may enjoy listening to. Also please take note for your information. According to Nielsen Media Research in a study released July 2006, the average Podcast is about 44 minutes. Some that I subscribe to are as long as 1 1/2 hours.
