Toastcaster 35 - Toastmasters - A Tale for All Seasons
December 25th, 2010 — toastcaster greg
Told by Donna Smith, ACB, CL, it's an entertaining and inspiring tale in the form of a familiar holiday poem, that captures the true spirit of Toastmasters and its founder, Ralph Smedley. It also follows the events that unfold as a Toastmaster prepares for the Icebreaker speech. She did receive credit for the Advanced Manual - Storytelling.
Donna also speaks with Greg and shares her thoughts that went in to this presentation and how Toastmasters has helped her catch her second wind. What a nice way to end on year and begin the next. Donna is with Morning Challengers a club from Sherwood Park, Alberta Canada.

Wow! That’s a speech and a half. What a creative way to capture what happens to us as a result of working through our fears and the respective Toastmasters manual. Lovely cadence and vocal variety, Donna.

Yes, Karen! Donna did an awesome job. It was all done in one take! Very little editing was necessary.
I was floored when I read the poem and even more wowed when I heard it!
