Toastcaster Demo

Posted by toastcaster greg on January 4th, 2007

Inaugural Demo Podcast with Mona Cooley, DTM, District 42 Governor. Mona’s Theme for 2006-2007 is:

“Lead with Purpose Communicate with Confidence”

I thought that it would be appropriate that the first one, specific for D42 should feature none other than the Rockin and Rollin’ DG herself. :)

The benefit of a podcast is that it is something that people can listen to. While we strive for face to face communication we can’t do it 24/7. And while text, manuals and e-mails can often do the job to relay information, it’s nice to have something that can bridge the gap between the written and the in person. It’s also something people can listen to while they are doing something else. For extended Toastcaster episodes, people can listen to it in their cars or iPods. ….And thus the Toastcast.

Enjoy! Greg…

    Great job Greg, I like the concept. Find the segments a bit too long…

    {editors note: Lloyd. Thanks for your comment. We feel we need to take the time to say what we need to say. We will be doing some Toastmaster Quick tips in the future that will be no longer than 2 minutes that you may enjoy listening to. Also please take note for your information. According to Nielsen Media Research in a study released July 2006, the average Podcast is about 44 minutes. Some that I subscribe to are as long as 1 1/2 hours.

    We appeciate the time you took to comment. PLease keep the comments coming }

    I like this idea Greg! Will we be hearing more district 42 interviews in the future?
